Tower Concept

StudioAnderson’s concept for a Neurosciences research and healing center is inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s fascinating Vector Flexor — a model that Fuller said “contains the whole phenomenology of the universe.”  Our studies combine Fuller’s ideas on geometry with Sir D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson’s ideas of species evolution to create energy charged architecture that connects to the continuity of forms found in nature.

Salt + Cleaver Restaurant Opening Next Week

The 2,500 s.f. renovation brings the space back to its 1930’s roots by stripping away 80 years of material and exposing the original redwood trusses. We used appropriate materials like western red cedar planks, brick, exposed concrete and metal accents using original period metal hardware.

Prominent features include a 14′-0″ tall metal triangular wall sculpture, patina perforated steel railings, and a 19′-0″ long perforated aluminum chandelier over the bar.

The restaurant has a full bar serving craft cocktails and house-made free-range sausages.
