This project started out when the City of San Diego hired me to reimagine the structure of Skate World in Clairemont. My favorite part of the building was the arches. The City seemed to want me to turn the space into a CVS, so I walked away from the project. But I couldn’t get the arches out of my head. I love the skating rink… but if it had to become something else, and I had it my way, the building would become a Museum of Alternative Arts for underrepresented local & street artists.
